In the states listed on this page, yes — each course is built by U.S. LawShield for that state’s requirements. Some states accept fully online training, while others (like Texas) use the online course for the classroom portion and require a separate in-person proficiency step. Do I still need a shooting proficiency test?
It depends on your state. Several states, including Texas, Ohio, and Missouri, require a live-fire component with a certified instructor in addition to classroom training. Check the note under your state’s course and confirm current requirements with your state’s licensing agency.
How long do I have to finish the course?
