Course Overview: Designed for individuals with foundational skills in firearm handling, this course aims to advance proficiency in both rifle and pistol disciplines. It emphasizes advanced techniques for improving accuracy, speed, and tactical responsiveness in various scenarios. Time and Location: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Texas Defensive Shooting Academy (TDSA) 1125 Wolf Springs Rd E, Ferris, TX 75125 Who Can Attend? All U.S. citizens ages 18 and up legally allowed to own/purchase/possess a firearm. What Do You Need? A quality AR / M4 platform rifle and a quality pistol. 5 magazines for each firearm (with at least 1 magazine pouch/holster for each). 300 rounds of rifle ammunition and 350 rounds of pistol ammunition. Rifle sling for the rifle and OWB holster for the pistol, Level 3 retention recommended. Ear and Eye protection. Recommended: Sunscreen/bug spray. Plenty of water and snacks. Clothing suitable for a range of weather conditions. Note-taking material. Ballistic or Tactical Vests. Course Content: Safety protocols and proper handling for both rifle and pistol. Fundamental and advanced shooting stances, grips, and sight alignments. Trigger discipline, control, and follow-through for both firearm types. Efficient reloading techniques and clearing malfunctions. Engaging multiple targets and transitioning between firearms. Shooting from various positions and introductory movement drills. Ammunition Policy: You may shoot reloaded ammo (at your own risk) or steel case. NO steel penetrating core (e.g., NATO green tip) allowed. This comprehensive training is ideal for those looking to enhance their capabilities with both primary types of firearms, ensuring readiness for defensive or competitive scenarios.

To keep things fair for all students and our instructors, we’ve outlined our refund and reschedule policy below: Refund Timeframes More than 7 days before the class: ✅ Full refund or free rescheduling to another available date. 2 to 7 days before the class: 🔁 50% refund or one-time rescheduling (request must be made at least 48 hours before the class start time). Less than 48 hours before the class: ⚠️ No refund, but you may reschedule if you notify us before the class start time. (Limit one reschedule per registration. No refunds at this stage.) No-shows or notifications after class start time: ❌ No refund. No reschedule. (Your seat and instructor time were reserved just for you.)
